Hiro Wyatt is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, plenty of arm speed coming through the back side with effort at release; topped out at 92 mph with fastball, worked comfortably to the arm side and filled the zone, showed nice sinking life to it at times given the slot/release. Mixed both a slider and changeup with very nice potential moving forward; big sweep to the slider up to 81 mph and turned over the changeup with maintained arm speed up to 84 mph. Projects well moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow base and loads hands later in the process; looks to creates contact to pull side, line drive contact when on time, contact oriented approach with some jump when squared. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Duke.
