Esai Torres is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock. Recorded a 7.31 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame, long and lanky build with plenty of room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher with an off line arm action and short arm circle, stays tall throughout the delivery and finishes tall. Some arm side run to the fastball, has a curveball with 11-5 shape and good bite. Nice pitch but shows it out of the hands by hooking the the wrist and shortening the arm action. Pounds the zone with his fastball and mixes in the curveball when he's ahead. Secondary outfielder, loose and easy actions, fields on the side with a balanced approach. Definite arm strength and speed, ball comes out quick and accurate. Plays through the ball with momentum, smooth glove and clean round overall. Worked out in the infield, developing actions and mechanics, skills translate better in the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set and simple leg lift trigger. Mid-field approach, stiff actions, round got better as he became in sync and on time with the lower half. Good student.
