Ryan Retone is a 2022 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Nixa, MO who attends Nixa. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength to frame. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, takes short and quick steps moving towards the ball, fields it out front and shows sound glove skills at the ball, athleticism plays in actions and shows ability to throw from different slots across the diamond accurately. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high back elbow at start of swing and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, can incorporate additional weight shift moving into contact. Direct path to the ball and shows quickness to hands, works on a linear path and ball comes off the barrel well when squared. Worked to all fields and repeats mechanics, remains short through point of contact. Very good student.
