Daniel Simontacchi is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-3 174 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends St. Pius X. Recorded a 6.99 second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder showed great athleticism through the baseball with a long arm action and cleanly fields the baseball showing a tremendous arm strength while accurately throwing the baseball at 91 mph to the bases. Simontcchi projects extremely well defensively. Secondary right-handed pitcher works primarily from the stretch showing a loose arm action out of a three-quarter arm slot with great lateral movement and extension to the plate. Simontacchi has light life on the fastball topping 88 mph with a slight sinking action while also mixing in a tight slider with sweeping action. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with a narrow and upright stance, high hands, and a high back elbow with a simple short stride as he wraps the barrel around the shoulders. Simontacchi works through the baseball showing good barrel control with a middle of the field approach while creating good backspin on the baseball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
