Owen Macdonnell is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Londonderry, NH who attends Londonderry. Large physical build with room to still fill out and get stronger as he progresses. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from an over the top slot. Fastball up to 82 mph, finds good arm side run on his fastball. Mixes in a 12-to-6 curveball with great depth. He turns his off-speed over slightly and it sits around 75 mph. Projectable stuff especially with his build, and he shows a plus pickoff move as well. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a slightly lifted barrel plane through the zone. Still understanding his timing and rhythm with the pitcher but uses the middle of the field well. Good student in the classroom as well.
