Cole Kratzberg is a 2023 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Coal Valley, IL who attends Orion. Ran a 7.25 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium frame showing some room to project on moving forward. Presences the early out front fielding it out front and working through the fielding process with a clean transition showing solid arm strength to the bases. Does a nice job of getting rid of the ball quickly on the infield with the same arm strength on the throws. Showed a solid first step to the ball with good direction allowing him to work around the baseball. On the mound he ran the fastball up to 83 mph with heavy arm side run using the lower half efficiently with a strong lateral movement to the plate. He also mixed in a low 70's breaking ball playing well off of the fastball as he does a nice job pitching off the base plane with both pitches. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open base using a leg lift trigger to get back to even. Does a nice job staying compact the with the bat path and attacking the inside part of the ball. The bat speed is still developing but projects for more with added strength as he continues to mature. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
