2025 FTB x PG Tennessee Showcase
Ryan Newell is a 2027 OF/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Nolensville, TN who attends Nolensville. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, sets up in a straight and balanced stance with a small load to his backside, nice flow and rhythm into his swing, has strength and present bat speed into contact, hard pull side contact, nice overall operation that projects well. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic footwork through the ball with a clean transition into his throws, solid arm strength with one hop accuracy. Should continue to improve in all areas, especially with the bat as he gets stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
