Chris Arroyo is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength throughout build. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves in well on the ball and remains balanced on approach, fields it out front, longer arm action through the back with a quick release, works through the ball and remains on top showing carry and accuracy to the intended base. Also pitched and shows upside on the mound, rhythmic delivery, big rock step moving into a leg lift up above belt, quick arm through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Mixed three pitches for strikes and showed off pitchability, fastball topped out at 89 mph with running life to arm side. Nice fading life to changeup up to 81 mph, sells it well with maintained arm speed and nice fading life; buries the curveball up to 76 mph and able to miss bats down in the zone. Tends to drop slot on slider, shows some bite with two plane at times. Consistently mixed and kept hitters off balance. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a big leg lift trigger for timing. Occasionally mistimed with front foot, shows present bat speed through the zone with some juice and carry off of the barrel when squared, comfort working to pull side. Very good student.
