Jimmy Shortall is a 2023 1B/RHP/IF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Forest Park, IL who attends Montini Catholic. Tall high waisted young build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced open stance with a toe tap trigger and hanging front leg load, tends to drift to his front side and loose his lower half, starts his hands tight to his body and has a short and compact swing path, middle of the field approach. 8.78 runner, young developing actions on defense at first base. Also pitched, big gather step and turn to start his delivery, high 3/4's arm slot with a short arm circle in back, stays on line well and gets some extension out front. Works with a low 70's fastball that has some sinking action and pitched to contact with his fastball. Also threw a 11/5 curveball. Very good student.
