2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (June 24)
Shine Barran is a 2025 OF/LHP with a 6-1 207 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends IMG Academy. Big and physical build with present strength throughout. 6.93 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder with sound actions, showing a medium frame and clean ¾ arm slot that works well through release. Accurate throws with carry, good energy through the ball, and consistent timing on exchanges. Footwork is controlled and choppy at times but projects to tighten up. Displays arm strength and shows a clue for the position with upside. At the plate, swings from both sides with strong base and hand strength. Right-handed shows a slightly open stance with feel to stay tight and drive the ball; hands stay connected with barrel control and impact to both gaps. From the left side, rocks into load with a strong lower half and whippy bat that delivers hard line drives to all fields. Loud contact, especially to the pull side, with some lift and easy strength through impact. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
