Joseph Contreras is a 2026 RHP/SS with a 6-3 176 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long and lean frame and projectable build to add. Staggered feet start windup working from the first base side of the rubber. High-belt lift with a medium arm swing to a 3/4 slot release down the slope. Controlled mechanics featuring a three-pitch starter's package. Ran the fastball up to 88 mph (1809 RPM) with arm side run and sink and slider in the low-80s (2009 RPM). Split-finger with low spin and depth as a third offering in the 71-74 mph range (1226 RPM). 7.42 runner in the sixty. Worked out in the infield and outfield and showed his arm strength in the field, best chance as a defender in the future would be as a third baseman. Switch-hitter at the plate, has a better swing and better bat speed from the left side, ball comes off the barrel well, more of a contact approach from the right side with a hanging front leg load that throws off his timing and connectivity. Very good student.
