Brayden Bakes is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-10 186 lb. frame from Algonquin, IL who attends Huntley. Recorded a 6.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a strong, physical frame with plenty of present strength throughout. Worked to the ball cleanly and used a compact arm action. Throws showed carry to them, up to 88 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter and starts from a wide base, even feet with a high back elbow and hands. Employs a toe tap trigger to initiate swing. Turns tight and quick with good balance to the swing. Good bat speed and stays on back side with jump off the barrel. Generates whip to the barrel and stays loose. Intriguing combination of athleticism and strength. Great student. Verbal commitment to Wichita State.
