Kai Purdy-Burton is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Montrose, CA who attends St. Francis. Long and lengthy southpaw with room to still fill out as he develops. Primary pitcher, has a shorter arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot. Takes a big stride down the mound with a quicker motions after his high lift. Fastball is up to 78 mph and he mixes in a 1-to-7 shaped curveball that is very effective against left-handed hitters. Punches out numerous lefties looking with the pitch. Also throws a 70 mph straight change with a good deceptive arm action. Good feel for his arsenal overall.
