Andrew Sands is a 2024 C/1B/3B with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Rock Hill, SC who attends Northwestern High School. Broad shoulders with well proportioned strength in the frame. 7.98 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher, low setup with good flexibility in the lower half for his size. Good athletic movements, comes out of the crouch well, quick exchange with solid throws around the bag. Throws had carry to the bag, up to 71 mph. Right-handed hitter, wide stance with a bat wrap load. Natural loft to the path, swings hard resulting in loud barrel contact to all fields. Has power to both gaps which he showed both in game and in the round. Excellent Student. Named to 2022 Fall Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
