Elmer Figueroa is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian. Physical and durable frame, a 7.50-second runner in the sixty-yard dash. Right-handed hitter starting with a high-hand set and a high back elbow. Easy pop at the plate while showcasing exceptional power to pull side. Loose swing creating tremendous amounts of bat speed, incorporates his lower half well, creating some loft with swing. Primary catcher, showcased a 2.07 second pop time, putting the ball on the bag with some accurate throws. Smooth transfer while gaining some ground toward target. Improvement of footwork and mobility would benefit defensive aspect of his game. Secondary first baseman moved well with accurate throws again. Fielded well but could be more fluid in his fielding mechanics. Excellent student. Named to 2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
