Luke Kavulich is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Pennington, NJ who attends The Pennington. Recorded a 5.17 second forty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher has a tall and lean build with a full wind up and short sidestep into a well-balanced belt high leg lift. He rides the back leg down the slope with good extension. Kavulich has late sinking action from a high three-quarter arm slot with good command on both sides of the plate topping 74 mph. Secondary outfielder showed quick feet and good glovework while also accurately throwing the ball to the bases at a recorded 78 mph. Right-handed hitter hits from a wide, slightly open stance. Starts with his bat on his shoulder pre-pitch and incorporates a deep pushed hand load with a small inward step to launch. Uses quick, energetic actions to get his swing going. Lofted stroke with a round, elongated swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Mostly middle-to-opposite field approach with occasional soft line drive impact. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Great Student.
