Michael Bridgeman is a 2007 OF/SS/P with a 5'11'', 178 lb. frame from Laurel Hill NC, who attends Scotland HS. He has a medium build athletic body with lots of live body actions. Bridgeman's raw tools grade out very well across the board. He's a 6.78 runner who threw 88 mph from the outfield and 83 mph during infield drills. If he can make a few adjustments, Bridgeman projects out best in the infield. He has very good quickness in the infield and good actions to the ball. His raw arm strength plays. The main area he has to address is his release and arm action, which is both long and unorthodox. If he can work on this, he should be able to stay in the infield at the upper levels of baseball. If not, he has the speed and arm strength to be a fine defensively outfielder. Offensively, Bridgeman takes a full, healthy cut and attacks the ball with very good bat speed. He has nice extension through the ball for power projection in the future. He made consistent line drive contact. Bridgeman also took a turn on the mound and his arm strength didn't translate, as he pitched at 77-80 mph. Bridgeman is a very good prospect with upper level physical tools.
