2020 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Vincent Esposito is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from South Plainfield, NJ who attends South Plainfield. Recorded a 4.95 second 40-yd dash time. Slender, high waisted build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary middle-infielder with present athleticism, smooth footwork and easy fielding operation. Creates exceptional lower half usage, long strides and soft hands while recording throws up to 86 across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with simple, repeatable mechanics. Starts sideways into a small rocker step, gets to a well balanced gather, while throwing from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Was able to command both sides of the plate efficiently with fastball/slider combination, sitting low-80s with his fastball. Slider showed the ability to create swings and misses with short 11-to-5 shape at 72 mph. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open crouched stance, active hand load and big leg kick trigger. Displayed consistent, well timed round and ability to create leverage in his lofted stroke. Will continue to improve with continued refinement of mechanics and added strength. Named to 2020 Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
