Josiah Haslem is a 2025 1B/LHP with a 6-6 235 lb. frame from Southwest Ranches, FL who attends American Heritage. Extra big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a deep hand load, geared to pull the ball but showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields, easy all fields over the fence power, creates backspin and carry, gets the ball into the zone early and stays on plane, dominated in games. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has clean glove work and works through the ball well for his size, clean and quick funnel on ground balls, makes accurate throws with plenty of arm strength for the position. Left handed thrower, took a turn on the mound, has a slow paced delivery with an over the top arm slot, hides the ball well behind his big body and creates some deception, plenty of extension out front with a low effort release. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, gets good downhill angle on the pitch and worked at the bottom of the zone consistently. Also threw a soft curveball with plenty of depth. Impressive athlete with an upside. Son of NBA legend Udonis Haslem. Excellent student. Named to the Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
