Jackson Hood is a 2020 RHP with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends The Dunham. Smaller lean build. Long and loose arm action, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball pretty well, consistent with his mechanics. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, gets nice running life into right handed hitter's hands with it. Mixes his pitches frequently, gets the same type of life to his change up, showed some feel for his curveball and used it frequently when ahead in the count. Ground ball pitcher who threw lots of strikes and competed. 7.16 runner. Good student.
