Jacob Schellhorn is a 2025 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Monona, IA who attends Mfl Marmac. Lean, compact frame with long levers and plenty of room for additional strength. Primary shortstop, gets a good first step on the baseball and works through it well. Shows the glove early, funneling the ball cleanly with soft hands. Showcased the ability to adjust arm slots on the run. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 75 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works from a full wind-up delivery with a belt-high leg lift. Breaks the hands at the chest and into an inline arm path. Releases the ball from a low three-quarters slot. Accelerates well down the slope. Fastball showed short arm-side run, ultimately peaking at 74 mph. Mixed in a shorter vertical breaking ball with a developing spin profile. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even base with a high back elbow and even hand set-up. Utilizes a simple stride for timing before working into a level stroke. Rotational swing mechanics with short and tight hands. Produced soft line drives to the pull-side during batting practice. Displayed developing bat speed and barrel consistency. Projects for more power with added strength and future mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 72 mph. Ran a 7.46 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
