Jeremy Turrey is a 2007 IF/C/P with a 5'7'', 155 lb. frame from Riverside CA, who attends Martin Luther King HS. He has a compact, strong, small athletic body type, with good body control. Turrey has a well-rounded game and though his tools may not blow anyone away, he has playable tools and is the type of player that gets the most out of his ability. Offensively he showed a a quick bat and a short swing. He is aggressive and showed some pullside gap power. Pitchers that take his size for granted are in for a surprise. Turrey has a knack for making barrel contact and showed good bat control. He has the makings of being solid two-hole type hitter. In the field Turrey showed soft hadns and a good arm. His body control is apparent on defense, with feet that work well. He plays with very good energy and is a verbal player, a leader in the middle of the diamond. The term "sparkplug" comes to mind with him. Turrey is a solid student and a gamer type ballplayer.
