Abner Rodriguez is a 2022 C/1B/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.48 second 60-yard dash time. Physical prospect with well-proportioned strength throughout and room for additional projection. Primary catcher with excellent catch-and-throw skills and a best recorded pop time of 1.85 seconds. Fast and direct mechanics with definite athleticism. Feel for the exchange with very good arm strength up to 80 mph. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and solid bat speed. Whips his hands hard and uses his lower half really well. Creates space and generates leverage. Solid power upside with the defensive acumen being the carrying tool of the profile. Great student.
