Hunter Russell is a 2022 C/1B/3B with a 6-0 213 lb. frame from Clemmons, NC who attends Calvary Baptist. Medium to Large frame with a sturdy, filling out build. Ran a 9.04 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher sitting down in his stance deep as he receives the baseball well. Clean transfer on throw downs as he releases from an upright look. Consistent throws around the bag. Recorded a 2.31 second pop time. Righthanded hitter starting with an open stance and deep hands. Relies on upper half to create bat speed as he found the barrel often. Looks to drive the baseball back up the middle but proved he would spray it around depending on where it is pitched. Lets the baseball get deep. Outstanding Student.
