Chris Gault is a 2021 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Laporte, IN who attends Michigan City. Medium and skinny frame with lots of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran an 8.03 second 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, worked out in the infield with clean hands to both sides of his body, breaks down on the baseball with developing footwork, could improve with additional momentum carried into his release, developing arm strength with nice hands in the infield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, deceptive delivery, take arm back to a quick arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, gets downhill with lower half early, fastball topped out at 70. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a narrow base and a high back elbow, takes a short stride into contact with some weight transferred into contact, creates some leverage wanting to impact the baseball with strength, some smoothness to path with tools present to work with at the plate. Good student.
