Imanol Garcia is a 2021 SS/RHP, IF, OF, UT with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Elmhurst, NY who attends N Benjamin Cardozo. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and glove plays nicely, shows quickness to arm action through the back and generates carry on throws across, fluid moving up the middle and shows ability to drop slot on throws while remaining accurate. Also pitched, deliberate tempo to delivery, slight hip turn at top with a belt high leg lift; incorporates lower half well working with a lower slot on throws. Creates some extension, fastball topped out at 80 mph and creates nice running life through the zone; flashed a changeup at 70 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with an even stance; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Quickness to hands and lift to path, projects with added strength, does a nice job of getting extended out front. Occasionally gets to front side early, works the middle of field with comfort, full swing path through the zone.
