2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Christopher Sosa is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Compact delivery with a belt high leg raise to start, drop and drive mechanics to the plate, 3/4's arm slot, has some deception to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, gets very high spin/rpm on his fastball with lots of carry through the zone, velocity dropped from the stretch but command improved significantly, can locate the ball to the corners. Slider was a solid second pitch, tends to slow his arm somewhat but repeats his release and creates a short late break. Good bet to keep improving. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
