Jake Northrup is a 2020 OF/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends St. Augustine. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary outfielder with deliberate, smooth paced footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Showed developing glove actions at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Throws produced occasional carry to the bag with developing accuracy, topped at 73 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to employing a mid field to pull side approach. Very good student.
