Matthew McGinnis is a 2026 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton High School. Features a bigger, physical build. Ran an 8.19 60-yard dash. Worked out both in the outfield and on the infield. Range profiles best for a corner spot on the dirt. Sound glove actions played well at first base. Longer arm action produces accurate feeds, reaching 77 mph during workouts. Still refining overall footwork and actions in the outfield. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with an open base. Swings on a tight path with an approached geared to the pullside. Developing consistent timing would allow for strength to play more in the box. Right-handed hitter. Throws from a 3/4 slot with longer arm action. Lands slightly closed using a high effort delivery down the mound. Will lose body control at times. Fastball got up to 78 mph, pairing with an upper-60’s slider. Refining delivery will allow for more consistent strikes. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
