2022 Northeast Top Prospect Games @ Rutgers
Jon Young is a 2024 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Cherry Hill, NJ who attends Cherry Hill West. Young has plenty of athleticism and natural ability present in the build that revealed itself from the IF where he showcased smooth glove work and clean lateral movements. The release across the diamond was quick and consistent up to 83 mph. Provides value at all three infield spots. Offensively, Young started from a slightly open balanced stance with some hover in the leg load to produce carry to the middle pull side of the field. He created lift in the bat path with the ability to get the barrel out in front, posting an exit velo of 90 mph. Ran a 7.42 sixty yard dash. Named to Top Prospect List.
