Andrew Johnson is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Prior Lake, MN who attends Jefferson. Medium frame with longer limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Stays tall on back side at gather. Clean arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed heavy actions through the zone with good downhill tilt in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 80 mph. Flashed the ability to drop to a lower three-quarters to near side arm side slot to create more run with fastball offering. Curveball had 10/5 shape with tighter spin and late depth in the low 60's. Matches arm speed well with a changeup offering that produced some fade in the low to mid 70's. Consistently located all pitches to the bottom quadrants of the zone.
