Anthony Valladolid is a 2023 C/RHP with a 5-7 180 lb. frame from El Centro, CA who attends Central Union. Features a medium build with some strength. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Uses a higher setup behind the plate. Displayed a clean transfer with solid footwork when body stays under control. Was accurate with most throws. Recorded a 2.15 pop time. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wider base stance with a simple timing mechanism. Swings on a direct path with the ability to get the bat head out front. Has some hand speed present with good extension out front. Still developing consistent barrel accuracy. Right-handed pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Utilizes a controlled, deliberate delivery down the mound. Fastball got up to 77 ph. Paired it with a curveball in the mid-60’s. Can land the offering for strikes often. Very good student.
