Anderson Almond is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Episcopal HS. Very tall for his age, long and lanky build. Has a very sound low effort delivery at present, is balanced at his gather point with a long and loose arm action and a high 3/4's arm action, medium length stride out front with good downhill angle to his pitches. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with heavy sink at the plate, fills up the strike zone with his fastball and gets quick outs with it, tends to get on side of curveball but has good power on the pitched and flashed sharpness when he did get on top. Developing change up. Showed good young athleticism at first base defensively. Right handed hitter, upright stance with a high back elbow load, creates leverage at contact with a loose and extended swing, pull approach and creates some bat speed. Young tall pitcher who is coordinated for his size and has very projectable tools. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
