2018 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Luca Wentzel is a 2021 SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Wilton, CT who attends Wilton HS. Lean lanky build. Ran a 7.12 sixty. Showed developing footwork and hands in the infield. Showed a projectable arm with online carry to the base while topping out at 71 miles per hour across the diamond. Utilizes an upright stance with high hands and a high back elbow set up. Employs a line drive to the middle of the field approach with good barrel control creating solid line drive contact throughout batting practice. During games showed a short swing with great ability to work the middle of the field with consistent line drives. Good student.
