2018 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Luke Trythall is a 2020 1B/LHP with a 6-1 230 lb. frame from Poolesville, MD who attends Poolesville HS. Large physical build with present strength. Ran a 7.48 sixty. Showed smooth hands with good footwork during infield workouts. Showed aggressive actions with good arm strength topping out at 77 miles per hour across the infield. Left handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with high hand and high back elbow set up. Flashed good bat speed and strength with lift in the bath path. Showed the ability to create consistent hard contact to the opposite and middle fields. Also pitched at the event. Uses high three-quarters arm slot with normal arm speed and normal flex. Flashed smooth delivery falling to the third base of the diamond slightly. Showed good control with all pitches throughout outing. Displayed a fastball with good control at 81 miles per hour and a one-seven curveball at 71 miles per hour. Showed good swing and approach in games with loud opposite field double. Outstanding student.
