Jackson LaLima is a 2024 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Large, athletic frame with present strength to him and additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, stays low moving towards the ball on approach, smooth actions to the backhand with some snatch in glove, gets inconsistent with release point but shows solid arm strength across diamond, comfort moving up the middle. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, has timing components to swing, long swing path through the zone. Ball jumps off of the barrel when squared, big extension out front, looks to generate lift at point of contact, occasional top spin coming off. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
