Jorge Zayas is a 2022 C/RHP/OF with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Academia Menonita Betania. Small frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.04 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, has quick feet and shows quickness in his catch-and-throw with solid arm strength generating carry to his throws down to the bag. Also worked out in the outfield, comes and gets the ball with a clean funnel and quick release getting on top of his throws well. Pitches as well, uses athleticism well in his delivery with good arm speed and a loose arm action that he repeats well; generates good life to the arm side and showed a solid cutter that he tunneled well off the fastball. Right-handed hitter, sets up balanced and uses a small shift of weight into contact; works short to the ball with a compact swing and gap to gap approach that will have improved results as he strengthens.
