Alex Hagerich is a 2022 MIF/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Glen Allen, VA who attends Tucker. Recorded a 7.37 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary middle-infielder that incorporates anticipatory footwork into the fielding process, while flashing some lateral range and clean glove work to field. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup with side-step rocker into a belt high leg lift and shorter stride out to foot strike. Good pace and rhythm to delivery, repeating it well and working from a high three-quarters to over-the-top arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the most part, topping out at 71 mph in this look and short life at the top of the strike zone. Mixed in slower breaking ball that varies in shape, flashing the ability to land it for strikes and garner swings-and-misses. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly narrow stance with high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with developing feel for the barrel and good extension out through contact. Compact stroke that stays connected and short, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
