Patrick Deegan is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-1 169 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends East Cobb Baseball Academy. Primary left-handed pitcher with a tall, lean frame, and room to fill before reaching physical maturity. Pitches off of abbreviated wind-up mechanics that take a smooth tempo and creates deception as he hides the ball well prior to release from a high-three-quarter slot. Ability to maintain release point across his repertoire, increases his effectiveness. Fastball at 79-mph with tail, late at times. Curveball at 65-mph with downer bite, some which had sharper tilt on occasion. Ability to generate swing and miss, and weak contact results with both pitches early and often throughout outing. Operation projects well with continued repetition and strength gain. Good student.
