Luis Perez Ruiz is a 2019 RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Abeka Academy. Stocky strong build. Works from the stretch with simple drop and drive actions down the mound, falls off to the first base side consistently, some energy on release, arm is loose and fast from a high 3/4's arm slot. Plus fastball, topped out at 94 mph, has a two-seam fastball with some running action. Slider was sharp with power and good lateral depth. Reliever profile but has big arm strength. Mexican citizen. Named to the World Showcase Top Prospect Team.
