Emmanuel "Manny" Lantigua is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends St. John Paul II. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has easy and smooth actions through the ball, plays under control, good glove actions, big arm strength with plus carry and accuracy, makes it look easy defensively. Switch-hitter at the plate, has better bat speed and barrel control from the right side, multi-part swing mechanics with an uphill swing path, more of a contact swing left-handed with mostly opposite field contact, Also pitches, has a low effort delivery that he repeats well, fast arm with a clean release. Fastball sat in the low 90's and topped out at 93 mph. Secondary pitches were both solid and thrown for strikes, bullet slider at 85 mph with short and tight downward break, got big horizontal run and sink on his change up. Future is likely on the mound unless the bat really comes. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
