Brayden Buchanan is a 2023 C/RHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Vandegrift. Big and strong athletic build with some projection left. Right handed hitter, hits from a very spread stance with limited shift, loads his hands well and they are on time, gets good extension through the ball, swings hard with some bat speed, gap to gap approach and squared up the ball hard in the games to the middle and opposite fields. 7.05 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good arm strength and gets on top of his throws well, 2.08 game throw, exchange is clean and his hands work well. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Baylor.
