James Markham is a 2022 RHP/MIF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Mississauga, ON who attends Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Ran a 7.65 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame and slender build, works exclusively from the stretch and gets down the mound with good pace. Has a leg lift above the belt and developing arm speed from an OTT slot. Fastball flashes some natural run to the arm side, using it in the zone well and forcing contact while also changing eye levels at 74-79 miles per hour. Shows some feel to spin a curveball with sweeping, 10-4 shape and some depth through the zone in the mid-60s, can land the pitch for strikes and commands the zone well. Also worked out in the infield, showcasing developing actions to the fielding process with present arm strength up to 78 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter with a wide, spread stance, showcasing a full rotational lower half with present bat speed. Has a middle of the field approach with developing barrel control and consistency. Good student.
