2020 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Drew Uccello is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Medford, NJ who attends Shawnee. Recorded a 4.95 second 40-yd dash time. Slender build with long levers and plenty of room to fill out. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set, quickness to his footwork and some present arm strength. Uses a side-saddle starting stance, quick footwork into throwing position and downhill, accurate throws. Recorded throws up to 71 mph in drills. Secondary outfielder that fields out in front while using quick feet into release. Showed some developing arm strength and accuracy, throws recorded up to 82 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter; hits from a spread, slightly open stance with good weight shift and direction in his lower half. Incorporates a small forward stride for timing, while showing some present bat speed and good hand usage in the swing. Middle of the field approach with some impact when on time. Will continue to improve with added strength and maturity. Excellent Student.
