Beau Haslinger is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Gambrills, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Long, slender build with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher with a young, projectable frame and simple operation. Uses a side-step rocker into an exaggerated leg lift with high hand break, while working into a high three-quarters arm slot with slight stab on the backside. Fastball worked in the 78-82 mph range with occasional cut, due to some timing issues in the lower half. When in sync and on time, showed ability to command both sides of the plate with downhill plane and life. Filled up the zone with mostly fastballs, mixing in a slower curveball with loose spin and shape at 68 mph. Intriguing prospect that projects on the mound with continued refinement of pitching mechanics and added strength. Should see spike in velocity with better lower half usage and extension through release. Good Student.
