Donnie Morgan is a 2024 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Pasadena, CA who attends Loyola. Defensively, showed clean glove work with good momentum built up into strong throws. The switch hitting outfielder flashed above average bat speed, swinging the bat with intent to do damage. From the left side the ball jumped off the bat, mostly to the pull-side with a direct bat path and simple striding load. From the right side its a mirrored set up but the approach was a bit more linear working balls hard through the middle of the yard. On the bump, he's a lean and athletic kid that operates from the stretch only. The arm speed was impressive out of the low slot, fastball command was average in a brief outing. But the breaking ball was ridiculous at this velocity (2790 rpm).Big time pitch that was hammer like with super late bite, landing it to righties at will. Struck out all three batters he faced. 6.85 60-yard. Good Student. Top prospect.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
