Joaquin Sandoval is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Santa Barbara, CA who attends San Marcos. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.40 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up slightly high in his stance but shows excellent catch-and-throw skills; works short to the hand, funnels the ball in the middle of his body and stays on line with his release producing accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, generates excellent bat speed and finds the barrel at an exceptional rate; fires his lower half on time and torques well using the looseness in his wrists to manipulate the barrel head and produce consistent line drive contact to the middle of the field with occasional lift. Outstanding student. Named to 2021 California Workout Camp Session 4 Top Prospect List.
