Grant Origer is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Parker, TX who attends Plano East. Posted a 7.68 in the 60. Primary RHP is a very projectable young build with athletic actions downhill, he put up an impressive outing displaying the right pieces to carry on. Quality delivery to build and add effectiveness to his arsenal. More compact operation was repeatable, slight cross-fire release works with knowledge of the zone. Fluid 3/4 slot arm action maintained same release on secondary offering and tunneled well. Breaking ball showed tight spin late break and good horizontal movement at times with hybrid shape mixing confidently for strikes. Good look at maturing advances to watch moving forward. He was versatile in the infield, more athletic field and release actions with arm strength that plays. Right-handed hitter starts wide base and quick leg lift trigger, flashed solid impact and feel for the barrel. Pull side approach in his round, produced hard lines with some real quickness to like as timing refines. Good student. Was named to the 2021 Lone Star Showcase Top Prospects List.
