Hunter Dillard is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Hiram, GA who attends East Paulding. Compact frame, good athlete with chance to fill in the lean levers over time. Primary outfielder, moves to it well, fields off the front foot, crow hop into throws, higher three-quarter slot release, some arm strength showing with throws up to 81-mph and uphill plane, projects nicely in the grass. Secondary first baseman, quick and light on the feet, fields it well, deeper arm action, lower release. Left-handed pitcher, abbreviated wind-up from the third base side of the rubber, leg lift just above the belt, breaks at the chin into an inline arm path, three-quarters release, good drive down the mound, short run on the fastball up to 81-mph, 1-7 shape on the curveball for strikes, sequenced well and produced weak contact. Right-handed hitter, open stance, back tap start, short direct swing with pull-side linedrive contact results, on the barrel, some quickness in the hands, blocks front side, limited weight shift into contact. Outstanding student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
