Ryan Todd is a 2024 3B/C with a 5-10 142 lb. frame from Ennis, TX who attends Ennis. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, has a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, shows accuracy on throws across from a three-quarters slot and can drop lower, finishes over front side, will continue to refine overall actions. Lower set behind the plate catching, tight transfer and shows a quick transfer and release on throws, works around the bag, shorter arm action and receives the ball cleanly. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, simple gliding trigger moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone but shows a handle for the barrel and gets extended out front. Contact oriented approach, bat speed will continue to improve with added strength, gets mistimed occasionally, able to work to all fields.
